The Life Matrix
The Energy Matrix, an environment or material in which something (life) develops, contains the blueprint that determines and maintains that particular life.
In turn, the life that the Matrix maintains, perpetuates a continuum of the blueprint.
Until the blueprint is modified, corrupted or upgraded, the product of the Matrix will always be the same.
Each life Matrix has a given frequency, and that frequency is sometimes affected by other factors. There could be environmental factors, or there could be a spontaneous change in the frequencies, either from within the Matrix or sparked by a higher frequency outside of the Matrix.
Intelligence within the Matrix can initiate an evolutionary event as the inner workings of the Intelligence itself, as a means of survival of the species.
So what am I saying here?
Within the Human Matrix, evolution as a means of survival of the species has always been part of the blueprint. Evolution is a forward movement, which creates a struggle to be birthed. There is opposition to change the status quo, between the known and the unknown yet not manifested. While the struggles are real, evolution as a form of maintaining the species eventually prevails.
Included in the Human Matrix blueprint is the cooperation of Non-Human-Intelligence to assure that the Human frequency continues to rise and thus, Humans don't return to early hominids development stage.
Humans are now at a point of no return as they must accept Non-Human-Intelligence partnership to learn to care for a living Being called Earth and stop the ongoing environmental changes.
Non-Human-Intelligence has many names on Earth, such as Angels, Luminous Guides, Star Beings, Ascended Masters and so on.
The component on all this that is largely ignored is the Luminous Being that is assigned to each Human, also known as the Human Soul. This Luminous Being is in constant contact with all life in the Matrix, and also outside the Matrix. The Luminous Being that you are is the one that partners with Non-Human-Intelligence to assure life in this Matrix will continue.
It is important that the voice of the Human becomes the voice of the Human Soul. Why? I'll let you ponder from here.

The galactic Council of Light wanted me to share this with you.
There is a field of high frequency Light we all share. Wherever we are, the field is with us all. All that we ask for, all that we need, has the support of this field.
We are never alone.
When you communicate with one of us, you communicate with all of us, thus anything you ask of us you are asking of the field. Not every being in this Universe needs to be physically present to communicate with you, but through the field we are all presently communicating with you.

If your frequency is low, higher frequencies cannot contact you, and instead it will feel as if you are physically ill. Beings of a lower vibration may act as intermediaries between us and you, acting as translators. You are a translator as well, through your thoughts and beliefs.
If you want to receive what you desire, you must clear the channel and raise the frequency of your thoughts and feelings.

A perspective on Time
On this realm made of polarities, you see the Sun rise and move across the sky until it sets and the light goes out. For several hours you see stars and the Moon before it too eventually sets and the light of the Sun comes back.
You learned to count these episodes of Sunlight and Moonlight and named them Days and Nights.
Every event in your lives has a beginning and eventually an end. You then use the knowledge of days and nights to mark the beginning, the length and the end of such episode to create a memory, or a keepsake.
Days turn into weeks, weeks into months and months into years.
You learned that Humans and other life forms have a finite time here and you learned to count the time left towards the end of life.
This in turn, creates the illusion that you only have "so much time" left, that after so many years "there isn't much time" to live your dreams, as you are "too old".
You expect to only live for so many years, and when you believe you are at the middle mark of the so many years of life expectancy, you fear "death" as you are now "going down hill".
When you start fearing the coming of the end, you stop living and you "wait" for the end to come.
What we are sharing with you is the knowledge that unlike Humans, other life forms (animals, plants) do not worry about how long their stay in this realm will last, but instead they are living every moment of their life fully. Humans believe somehow on the superiority over the rest of life on this planet, but lost in this concept is the meaning of living fully without regard for how long,

What is darkness?
The absence of Light, low frequency energy, or in the words of Eckhart Tolle, the Pain Body, and in metaphysics, a lack of love.
But what I will present here are the words of my Galactic friends from the Large Magellanic Cloud.
"Humans do not love. Humans think, define and compare in an attempt to explain what they can accept as love.
Love is a state of being inherent to all Beings. The lack of love as a child develops is filled by darkness. In Humans, darkness expresses itself as pain, suffering, anger, resentment, lack of empathy, victimization, aggression and violence towards self or others.

But darkness is not invincible, although intimidating and frightening to some, it can be overcome. Humans have developed ways to contain darkness, tame darkness, but it is up to each one of you to stand up to it and become empowered with courage to dissolve it and fill yourself with self-love.
What you are seeing in your planet today is darkness fighting to maintain the status quo. It is being exposed and it does not like to be challenged.
Fear not.
It has to be brought to the surface for all to see and understand. It cannot be ignored, as it feels as it has become an epidemic. Well, it has. But how do you eradicate a disease unless it is manifest?
It is time for all Humans, to take control of their lives and free themselves from pain.
It is time for all Humans to discover Love.

The In-Between Time
Edgar Cayce, also known as the Sleeping Prophet, knew that the short in-between time going from being awake to falling asleep was the small window to the Spirit World, where he could be asked questions and be completely out of the way for the answers to come.
For me, that small window happens just before I wake up. When I'm not asleep anymore, but not yet awake. This is the time for me when I am fully aware of Beings in my field, when I can touch them, see them and interact with them. Some of those Beings told me they didn't know I could see them fully as they believed I was not aware of them.
It is indeed a brief moment, but still a precious moment of interaction with Non-Human-Intelligent Beings. I feel an awe, like a child in a wonder filled world.
I know I'm not dreaming, for as as soon as the brief interaction ends, I feel myself going back into my sleeping body, turn around and wake up.
This is also called hypnagogia, (happening in reverse to me) a strange and fascinating state of consciousness characterized by dream-like visions and strange sensory occurrences.
This morning I had an interesting experience, where, someone was taking me on a slow motion tour of a house under construction, only the outside of the house, and I started to feel an episode of sleep paralysis coming. I yelled stop! and I was back on my bed, where I turned and saw a satiny, pearlescent Being lying next to me. I turned and gave it a hug, saying thank you for being so loving to me. That Being did not expect the hug and hurriedly left. I turned back to my body and opened my eyes. I was back into this waking reality we live in.
For me, that small window happens just before I wake up. When I'm not asleep anymore, but not yet awake. Not all messages are sugar coated
We understand that when you come to us for guidance and assistance, you expect to hear encouraging and hope giving words. Sometimes it is necessary to deliver warnings so right action can be taken. Many indigenous people where given these warnings of times and events to come and sadly, if no action is taken, these events will happen.
We are here today to remind you that you do not own this planet you live in.
You were placed here with all other life forms to create a peaceful coexistence with this planet. It seems that Humans are the only species here that no longer remember this. And it seems that Humans are not accepting the consequences of their neglect for their home.
It seems that Humans do not regard this planet as their home, only a place to exploit and take all that is available until nothing is left.
A reminder to all of you reading this: this planet is a live Being, not just a rock with dirt on it. This planet is alive. It feels. It breathes. It births life everyday.
What Humans have done to this Being, paving its surface, building concrete cities, injecting water with chemicals to extract gas, injecting that water deep down to dispose of the waste, poisoning to life, causing the earth deep down to move and shake mountains, throwing all kinds of waste into the oceans, is akin to keeping a human in a box filled with its own waste with no place to go. What do you believe will happen then?
Akin to Humans, if forced to live in waste, disease and death will be the result.
The so called climate changes, are a symptom of worse things to come. Earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, intense hurricanes and typhoons, are just the beginning.
Humans are killing each other, another symptom of the changes happening to this planet.
If nothing changes, this planet will continue to react to the daily assault on its life. It will soon begin to move from chronic disease to terminal.

We are here today to remind you that you do not own this planet you live in.

We see so much confusion, so much suffering, all of it created by humans alone.
Our people were told by our Ancestors that this time would come to the people of this Earth.
We were told that the people would lose their ways and become lost. We were told that this could not be helped, it was necessary to show the people of this Earth that they need to go back into their creation and learn from the beginning again.
We were told that the people would forget who they were and what their presence here is for. That they would shut their eyes and ears to their Ancestors and their own wisdom. For this they would have to re-learn how to be human again.
What we were told is happening now and there is no way to stop it.
The people of this Earth need to remember that this Earth is the giver of life and for that it needs to be respected and preserved.
Humans themselves are completely disconnected from their Spirit and the lessons that are coming will be hard for some.
This we were told. This was shared by our people, but even our people strayed from our ways.
Now we watch and see the prophecy unfold.
A cleansing is coming to this planet, created by humans alone. For every action there is a consequence.
Not all will understand that this is a consequence of turning away from Creation. The ones that choose to go back to the Spirit way of being will be the teachers and guides for the others to come.
A new phase, a new Earth will be born again.
Our Star Brothers and Sisters are already here. They came as we were told, to help create a new life, with Spirit and all creation. This time not just Humans, but all life is coming together to teach peace and respect for one another.

What will 2019 bring?
This is a general overview of what will be affecting all in the coming year of 2019. This information can be used as a guide on what to expect and how to navigate coming events. If you would like a personalized reading you may contact me using the Contact button above.
For this reading, I used the Map oracle card deck and pulled 5 cards: one for each trimester and one for the setting tone for the year overall.
The first card I pulled, Encouragement, is for the first trimester. The second card, is reversed, and called Coming Apart. The third trimester card, also reversed, is called the Wizard of Awareness and the last trimester card, also reversed, is called Magic Stream.
The last card that sets the tone for 2019 also reversed, is called Balancing Act.
I will start with the Balancing Act card:
Because this card is reversed, I feel it will not be a straight balancing act. I see struggles that require a lot of inner strength to balance the opposing energies of the year. Yin and Yang, Balance out all the happenings, information and what is to come. So this card is telling us that this year will be a balancing act of all the energies of the other four cards, but because it is reversed, it will require focused work to come back into balance every time something brings things out of balance.
Let's now look at each trimester separately and at the end we will come back to the Balancing Act card.

The feeling of encouragement comes from more positive results, some progress, that things are not continuing the way they were in 2018. So the events of the first three months will give you a feeling of encouragement, that maybe we are coming out of this negativity, this drama, and daily deluge of absurdity of 2018.
Keep this in mind for the rest of the year, as in, everything will make sense at the end.

The second trimester is represented by the card Coming Apart, reversed, so things will be holding together, despite whatever happens. It is kind of a follow up on Encouragement, as encouragement gives hope, which will provide strength to hold things together. A feeling that things will not continue to fall apart which is the opposite of 2018, where the feeling is that the status quo is coming undone.
So, the reverse position of this card for this second trimester, means that we will be able to hold things together, as the world will be striving to bring some mending and putting a stop to the wrecking train of 2018.

The third trimester card is the Wizard of Awareness, reversed.
This is not an encouraging card, as it implies that people's actions will still be guided by exterior circumstances and not from a place of awareness or from a place of wisdom, not from a place of mastery, but from a place of emotions, confusion, and reaction, from a place of outrage.
So the steadfastness of being present and knowing what to say, knowing what to do will not be present here, in this trimester.
It's almost like the year of 2019 will be trying to put in reverse everything that 's happened so far, but people are still too sensitive to what has been going on.
This is not an encouraging card, as it implies that people's actions will still be guided by exterior circumstances and not from a place of awareness or from a place of wisdom, not from a place of mastery, but from a place of emotions, confusion, and reaction, from a place of outrage.

So the message here is to remember that stressful exterior circumstances do not have to run our lives if we remember the ever flowing stream of life that sustain us and replenish us.
Water is always flowing, from the fountain, the giver of life, that's the magic stream, but here, it indicates that people have forgotten to reach to their source of sustenance.
The previous trimester will cause some to be out of balance and people will forget that they have a source, the ever flowing source of strength and wisdom, and faith.
So the message here is to remember that stressful exterior circumstances do not have to run our lives if we remember the ever flowing stream of life that sustain us and replenish us.
So, coming back to the tone setting card for 2019, this year will require us to balance all these energies, to remember to not allow the scales to tip one way or another. It will be an effort to keep things in perspective, to keep things in balance internally and to not react from an emotional place, or over reacting and allowing it to take over our lives.
In sum, 2019 will be a balancing act. It's a progression from 2018, where everything seemed like it was out of control, and now moving towards people thriving and striving, to bring people and things into a more nature balanced, into more of what needs to be to heal from 2018.
It will be a year of learning, to balance between emotions and awareness, between what is right and what is wrong.
It will be a year of discernment, and not blindly following the mainstream conspiracy theories, coming to a center

This I am told, this I believe
This planet in its infancy, was a perfect location for life to develop. It was chosen by a group of Beings to become the place where their legacy would continue.
They heard of Amayah, a Being of Pure Heart, and they searched the Cosmos for this Being to come and create the conditions for life to develop here. They found her and brought her here, and the call went out for others to come assist with this enterprise.
Amayah and the many others created a matrix, a magnetic field that could support life. From the Consciousness field, life started to take form.
Amayah found this planet beautiful and believed a higher frequency life form was needed to caretake for the planet. Eventually, Homo Erectus was found to be the best candidate for an evolved life form.
Unfortunately, the Beings that brought Amayah here were not interested in a higher frequency, peaceful loving species to care for this planet. They found the work done up to the point of Homo Erectus sufficient for them to establish their legacy here and forcefully stopped Amayah's work. They took her Essence and made it Human, as well as many of the other Beings that were here with her.
Those that were made Human with her came from other Star systems and other locations in the field. This was broadcasted and their peoples came here from that time on to help them evolve and break the cycle of becoming of lower vibration and such bound to this dimension / realm.
The early people of this Earth were and are very aware of the Star People and other Beings. They are the Essences of our Star brothers and sisters and were told how to care for this precious planet, but the Beings that wanted this planet to be their legacy multiplied and evolved to their liking, not interested in preserving this planet, but using, extracting and depleting its life / resources. They believe in depleting Earth's resources, because ingrained in them is the notion that there will always be another planet where they can continue their legacy.
The ancient native peoples were foretold of what would happen to this planet if the legacy was not stopped.
It is happening now.
The Galactic Council of Light has called all that belong to their Council to come and help this planet and they are arriving.
On March 6th, Uranus enters Taurus and stays in that sign for seven years. This is the sign from the stars and the planets for many changes and shifts to take place to stop the legacy from completely destroying this planet.
If you are reading this, you are most likely the Essence of the ones that came here thousands of years ago to help create the most beautiful and loving place in this Universe. It is time to meet your cosmic family again.

When people forget to die
In a conversation with some of the Beings that populate my space, they argued that the Human body only ages as expected by its occupants because of the belief that it is meant to only last so long.
In my 40+ years of working with energy healing, it is very clear to me that, unless it is a congenital defect, or environmental exposure to toxic materials, human diseases are caused by the belief systems we are indoctrinated with in childhood and perpetuated subconsciously throughout the rest of our lives.
If one feels unloved, criticized, bullied or denied the opportunity to develop the innermost skills, in the early years, unbeknownst to most, even after the family of origin is gone, one repeats the stuff and perpetuates the lessons learned day in and out.
What do I mean:
If you are told you are not smart enough, or not pretty enough, or not strong enough, the energy of these beliefs becomes intrinsic to your energy field. By repeating it constantly, the energy becomes stronger and it becomes a command to your organs, bones, lymphatic system and whatever parts of your body it targets.
Later in life, yes, it takes many years for a disease to develop, the body is in pain, dysfunctional and diseased. Modern medicine is not trained to treat the body as a whole. The connection between beliefs, energy and self-defeating mantras and cancer, for example, is not addressed. Many of the processed foods industrialized countries consume do not promote health and vitality. Buried emotions and trauma from abuse are not addressed in over eating, because the connection between emotions and eating certain foods is not recognized.
Emotions are connected with certain foods that act on brain receptors to calm, numb or make one sleepy enough to avoid "feeling". Overeating those "comfort" foods, trigger autoimmune reactions, and can eventually create the optimal ground for disease.
Anything and everything Humans do to "feel better" from anxiety, stress, inability to concentrate, eventually become addictions.
"An addiction is a psychological and physical inability to stop consuming a chemical, drug, activity, or substance, even though it is causing psychological and physical harm."
There are many types of recognized addictions, but the underlying cause in seeking relief from feeling what made one seek relief is rarely addressed.
So, what makes rare geographical and cultural groups live longer than most?
In Ikaria, for example, people outlive Greeks, Europeans and Americans by over a decade.
Many in medical science believe that only 25% of your longevity is determined by your genetics. They think the other 75% comes down to how and where you live.
I say this statement is incomplete. It is much more than that.
It is living in harmony with all aspects of yourself, it is living in the now, allowing all within oneself to flow and communicate, it is living in harmony with the environment, it is living in cooperation. It is not carrying all the emotional baggage from this life and previous ones and inflicting that baggage on others.
Humans elsewhere could easily live healthy and vibrant lives if they were not so obsessed with being anywhere else but present.
When one is present, one is aware. Aware of the body, mind, emotions, spirit and the biofield. One that is present is aware of all sentient life. One that is present lives in oneness with their luminous self, does not harbor diseases, and the end of a physical existence comes without pain or suffering. It pretty much comes when one feels his/ her work is done.

The need to know creates a false sense that if we know the explanation for unexplainable events we will be safer.
But will we?
Isolation from the exterior world is not necessarily safe. It creates a dichotomy of wanting to be seen and not wanting to be seen for fear of becoming a target. Not sharing of ourselves is detrimental to all. By not allowing others to experience our presence, we are denying others the experience of sharing themselves with us.
What if we were told that we need to be like everyone else in the circle we were raised in?
What if our inner Self knows, being like everyone else does not feel good, that it is not who we are and it feels like throwing a monkey wrench into a revving engine?
What if we can see what others cannot?
What if we have an inner knowing of what is going on around us even if it is kept hushed?
What if we have premonition dreams and cannot share them for fear of ridicule or for fear that we would be labelled evil?
What if we can feel the presence of energies and other Beings and fear we might be labelled crazy?
We have a strong intuition but deny it in the name of logic and rationale, even if time and time again we regret not listening to our gut instinct and then explain it away to fit in.
So much richness of experience is lost when we try, over and over, to make sense of what does not make sense in the parameters of what is mainstream accepted norms.
Many years ago, I was standing in my living room in contact with my Native American Guides. I heard it loud and clear: Go into the Great Mystery. I hesitated and asked: Uh.. how? I heard it again, Go into the Great Mystery..., again I hesitated, not knowing what it meant, and the voice said, Just do it! i took one step forward, a symbolic gesture, and bam! I felt a loud noise and the floor underneath my feet shift, like in an earthquake. I was then in a different realm and allowed myself to be there. I could only experience and have no words to describe what I felt because I don't believe we have the parameters to explain it away.
My second Near Death Experience happened at age three. At that age, logic and the need to explain was not yet a part of the system. To me it was just another day, another experience. it was something I went through and that shaped me for the rest of my life.
As an adult, I learned to give my left brain the reigns and looked for validation in science of all the knowing, seeing, and unexplainable occurrences in my life. I would then feel better if I could explain it scientifically, so I would not be shunned away.
All this need for validation and explaining away what cannot be explained creates resistance, distrust, and unnecessary suffering.
Open the door and come out of the "fitting in" closet, share your experiences with the rest of us, even if it doesn't make any sense.

Are the Hopi Prophecies coming to pass?
I am old enough to have witnessed major changes in my life.
From Father Knows Best in the 50's to Rock and Roll, to the Beatles, to the hippies and massive protests to end the Vietnam war, to the landing on the Moon, Star Trek and the speed to which technology developed in the 90's and the 9/11 twin towers event.
I look back and see how humans have changed. How the planet is being destroyed systematically in the name of progress, leading to a climate crisis, divisiveness, racism and violence on the rise.
As a child, I witnessed much violence against women, racism and intolerance. It pained me greatly, and I could never understand what made humans act in that way. I was called naive by many for believing that there is enough for everyone on this planet if we stop the territorial hoarding and the me vs. them mentality.
I, myself, have changed completely into my Spirit Self in the last decade, and have come to believe that the Hopi People are right.
Humans have not heeded to the ancient and wise teachings of the ancestors. They have forgotten how to live in harmony with the land and with each other.
As much as I don't want to see this planet destroyed, I am coming to the acceptance that it is heading to that end.
For the last three years I have drummed and envisioned a return to Light and peace to this planet.
Many Beings have come to me and told me that before peace and harmony can return to this planet, it will get worse. Much worse.
As a Healer and Shaman, I refused to accept that reality, but I can see it happening.
A year and a half ago, I was contacted by the Beings from the Large Magellanic Cloud. They told me that what is happening on this planet is causing a great disturbance in the fabric that connects us all in this Universe.
They told me of the Galactic Council of Light, a group that encompasses Beings of many places, forms and densities. Their purpose is to maintain peace in the field we live in. When I say we, I mean all life in the field of consciousness.
They called many in their group to come help this planet release the entrenched darkness and raise it's frequency.
They also realized that darkness was entrenched in the fabric of human life, but since they do not interfere with human life, they asked other Beings that have visited our realm from time to time to come and assist.
They are telling me that they are all working as one to slowly increase the frequency on the planet to make it unpalatable for darkness to remain.
They are telling me that the intensity will slowly increase as darkness and negativity is released so it can be dissolved.
This will take a long while and it brings me back to the Hopi prophecies. This world we live in will end and a new one will emerge. Hopefully a peaceful and cooperative one, where all that remain will come together and realize we are one species, regardless of color, gender, or place of birth. A world where no religion dominates, but a knowing that all life is sacred and is to be respected.

We come forth with a long awaited message
In 2006, a group of Beings that called themselves of the Highest Vibration dictated a book through me titled, The Transmission.
After they finished, I decided it was time to actually be the vehicle for the Transmission.
What developed from that is a long story that I have written in small increments in my Storytelling page.
I wanted to post here a few excerpts of the book that are still relevant today, as I never did publish the book, and do not intend to do so.
Here it is:
"Before the people of the Earth existed, their life forms existed in different galaxies of this Universe. This form of energy migrated through Stars in search of a place to create perfect harmony with the highest wisdom and knowledge.
When Earth was formed, the news spread throughout this Universe, as it still does today when a new planet is ready for life, and as such, Emissaries were sent to bring forth the seeds of Love and the highest form of life.
The Earth people, however, evolved in different directions, as you may say, in their own direction. The density of form of the human body made it difficult to remember and to be in alignment with their Star Essence, or Soul, as some of you call it, and many strayed from the guidance received, for humans can feel many different emotions, and these emotions clouded their vision and blocked their hearing, their clear mind, and so humans created their own paths and lives.
The results you see today, came from thousands and thousands of years of not being One with their Source, with their Essence."
My note: Attempts have been made throughout human existence here to re-connect with something of a higher and sublime nature, but again, human nature misinterpreted it and created "gods" and religions, and rigorous doctrines to connect to the mystical, when in reality, these efforts further separated them from their Essence and Light.
From the book:
"Until Humans align themselves with their Essence and speak from their heart, from their source of wisdom, they are blindfolded, they are poor in the extreme sense of poverty, for they surround themselves with jewels and houses and cars, and money and possessions, but they are poor in their hearts... for their Essence is the most magnificent source of their wealth, their most magnificent source of knowledge and wisdom, and everything the Earth inhabitants yearn for.
So for those of you that are ready to become your true magnificent Self, to live a meaningful life, we transmit this knowledge. It will be transmitted through Humans, for Humans, and little by little, it will have an effect onto the people of this Earth, and little by little life will change.
Others that received information from us in the past, have written and spoken about transformation on this Earth. The transformation on this Earth will come from individuals, not from catastrophes, not from earthquakes, not from major climate changes. Those come from your actions, we do not create these. You created them yourselves, by not treating the Earth with reverence and respect, and you unbalanced the atmosphere and the whole essence of this planet.
At the end, this could be reversed.
But we do not come her as harbingers of doom and destruction. We come here to address the the Star people and to awaken Humans from their slumber, their forgetfulness, and activate the parts of your brains that were designed to function in alignment with this Essence."

2020 forecast
For this reading I was guided to pick three cards from the Voyager Tarot deck, one for each quarter.
What this tells me is that the events and unfoldings will be lasting longer and will be more impactful.
For the first quarter, we have the Hierophant reversed, followed by the Nine of Worlds, and the Three of Worlds.

Lets look at the first card, the Hierophant, in the reversed position.
The Hierophant is a representation of moral and social conscience. In its reversed form, it symbolizes society’s unwillingness to accept those who do not adhere to a set of social rules. It is often a sign that it is time to challenge the status quo and break a few of these rules. You want to do the “right thing” but are finding yourself less sure about what really is right now. To find the answer, you have to look deep within yourself to discover your own truth.
It can also can serve as a reminder to reconnect with your spiritual side. Set aside time regularly to connect with your spiritual side. Let go of traditional beliefs that no longer serve you. Remember that spirituality is a personal experience. Every person’s journey is unique. You must explore different paths in order to discover what works for you. Once you discover peace within, you will have a better outlook and see positive changes in your life.
On the political scene, rulers leading with authoritarianism will likely find themselves caught in a scandal or disgraced.
